Direction of Paper

I would like to explore the business aspect of the Goldman-Sachs scandal, rather than the view of the borrowers.  I'm hoping to discover who made the decisions to sell these securities and how many people were involved and covered it up.  I also would like to investigate the laws and what they say and what laws and how many they broke in the process.  I am intending to pursue business as a career so I would like to learn the laws and understand how to detect corruption and scandals in the business world.  I am going to explore how many employees of the company were aware of the decision to sell these securities, if it was only the people at the top or the whole company knew about it.  I also want to look into the punishment and see if it is similar to other punishments for business corruption.  The punishment did not seem very harsh to me for the crime which they committed so I am interested in the process of the court ruling and how the settlement came about.  Overall I want to look at the scandal from a business standpoint and see where the decision to sell these securities came from and who was involved and knew what they were doing and the legal ramifications.
